About

A boutique studio built on medical rigor and quiet good taste.

Lumen opened in 2018 with one room, one provider, and one belief: that aesthetic medicine done quietly is the only kind worth doing.
Dr. Sophia Auclair, founder of Lumen Aesthetic Studio

Meet the medical director

Dr. Sophia Auclair, MD

Founder & Medical Director

Dr. Auclair founded Lumen in 2018 after a decade in internal medicine and a fellowship in aesthetic and regenerative practice. She built the studio around the conviction that aesthetic medicine done slowly, precisely, and with restraint is the only kind that holds up. She personally trained every injector on staff and sets the clinical protocols for every device on the floor.

Born and raised between Miami and Paris, Dr. Auclair was drawn to medicine by a deep interest in the intersection of health and confidence. After completing her internal medicine training at Jackson Memorial, she pursued a fellowship in aesthetic medicine where she studied under two of the leading facial anatomists in the country. She spent three years working exclusively with post-surgical patients before pivoting entirely to cosmetic and regenerative practice. Lumen is the direct result of what she wished existed for her own patients: an environment that felt like a quiet design studio, staffed entirely by medical providers, and committed to results that accumulate slowly and gracefully over time.

Camille Reyes, NP-C

Lead Nurse Practitioner Injector

Eight years of aesthetic-only practice with a focus on natural midface restoration, lip balancing, and advanced neuromodulator technique. Camille is a master injector for the RHA® Collection and a senior trainer for Sciton energy devices. She is known for an exceptionally light hand and a gift for managing patient expectations.

Camille joined Lumen in 2019 after spending six years building one of the most respected injection programs at a Coral Gables dermatology group. She chose to move to a physician-owned practice specifically because she wanted the medical rigor of working under a full-time MD. Her technique philosophy is shaped by restraint: she rarely adds as much product as a patient requests on a first visit, preferring to layer over time and adjust at check-ins. She is one of fewer than 200 RHA® Collection Master Injectors in the United States.

Marisol Vega, RN, BSN

RN Injector & Laser Specialist

Five years of aesthetic experience with a particular focus on lip and chin balancing, and on building laser protocols that are safe and effective across all Fitzpatrick skin types I through VI.

Marisol came to aesthetics after three years in surgical nursing at a Level I trauma center. The transition gave her exceptional technical precision and a calm she brings to every appointment. Her specialty in skin-of-color laser protocols is rare in Miami's aesthetic market and reflects both her training and her own experience as a Latina patient navigating aesthetic care. She runs Lumen's laser program and helped develop the studio's 5-step pre-treatment skin prep protocol that significantly reduces side-effect risk in darker skin tones.

Ana Beltran, LE

Lead Medical Aesthetician

Certified in advanced chemical peels and microneedling. Manages the studio's HydraFacial and clinical skincare programs and conducts the digital Visia® skin analysis for all new patient consultations.

Ana has been working in medical aesthetics for seven years, spending her first four at a high-volume dermatology practice before joining Lumen at its founding. She runs every new patient's Visia® skin analysis, serves as the studio's product educator, and manages a roster of monthly HydraFacial and peel clients who have been with her for years. Her calm, methodical approach to skin health is a counterpart to the injection side of the practice: she builds plans over 6 to 12 months and believes the skin responds best to patience.

Always with a provider

Our philosophy

Four quiet rules we will never break.

  • Restraint is the highest skill

The hardest thing to do in aesthetic medicine is say no. We say it often. The most beautiful results are the ones that accumulate slowly over years, not the ones that peak at 72 hours post-treatment.

  • Medical always means medical

Every injectable and energy-based treatment is performed by an MD, NP, or RN under direct physician supervision. We do not delegate clinical procedures to estheticians. Ever.

  • Start with the concern

We design plans around what a patient wants to address, not around the devices we happen to own. Sometimes the right answer is a prescription topical. Sometimes it is nothing yet.

  • Plans should taper

Aesthetic care that escalates every year is not a plan, it is a runway. Our goal is for patients to reach a point of graceful maintenance, not dependency.

What sets us apart

Medical-grade care looks different in practice.

  • Who performs your treatment

Licensed estheticians or delegated technicians on most services
Every injectable and laser treatment performed by an MD, NP, or RN
  • How the consultation works

    A 15-minute sales consultation with a coordinator
45-minute medical consultation with a licensed provider and digital skin analysis
  • How results are tracked

How you look and feel that day
Visia® skin analysis at intake, 30-day checks, and annual re-assessment
  • How plans are structured

    Single-session upsell, no written plan
A written multi-month plan you take home with you on day one
  • What guides the device settings

    Technician discretion
Fitzpatrick typing, medical history review, and MD-approved protocols for every device
